Brighton actually has three transmitters that can be used for Freeview reception through your TV aerial which generally serve Brighton and Hove, Southwick, Lancing, Rottingdean, Ovingdean, Woddingdean, Saltdean, Patcham and surrounding areas. These are the Whitehawk Hill transmitter, Brighton Central and Hangleton transmitters. For full Freeview service the Whitehawk Hill transmitter or the Rowridge transmitter on the Isle of White should be used depending on your location. Care should always be taken to remove unwanted 4G signals owing the close proximity with the final Whitehawk frequencies. The Hangleton  and Brighton Central transmitters should only be used where absolutely necessary as these only broadcast Freeview Lite (approximately half of Freeview.)
